Free Searches for Companies that do not have any Insolvency Orders against them

Suggestion:  Searches for companies that do not have any insolvency orders against them should be free.

Currently, consumers are advised at the Small Claims Tribunal webpage to ascertain if an errant retailer is insolvent, and are directed to MinLaw's website.  At MinLaw's Corporate Insolvency eservice Step 2, when we enter the ACRA UEN of the errant retailer, the results show "Your search returns 1 result".  I (and am sure many in the public) will assume that this means the company has 1 record of insolvency orders against it.  But all the search result means is that it found 1 company in the ACRA database with the same UEN.  And when the consumer pays $6 for the report, I get a one line "There is no record of winding up order for the above".

We should not have to pay $6 to get a one-liner search result that is automated?  This just increases the costs of doing business, and costs for consumers wanting to make claims against errant retailers.  I can understand a charge of $6 if there is an insolvency report to be generated, but $6 for a one-line automated search result is exhorbitant.

I urge the government to make it free when search results show no insolvency orders, and just display these results to the searching public.  If there are insolvency orders, MinLaw can charge a report generation fee for the insolvency report.

YES! I too would pay
to make this happen.
