Suggestion Description

Add A "Sympathize" Button

Many people have asked for a dislike button, but it can be easily abused. A sympathize button is not the opposite of like, but it's when you want to indicate your sympathy for the situation.

For example, when someone's status changed to say that their wallet got stolen, people wanted a dislike button so that they could express their disapproval of the situation. A sympathize button would have the same effect here.

Similarly if someone said they were heartbroken, this would work, or if someone reported that they had an accident and hurt themselves. It's weird to 'like' it and you want to express yourself, but not make a comment sometimes.

If, on the other hand, someone posted a status saying "[some person] is awesome", it wouldn't be healthy to offer a dislike button, but a sympathize button would be fine as it wouldn't apply to the motive for clicking dislike.

YES! I too would pay
to make this happen.
